I wanted to put some commentary together about some of the controllers that I have used, starting with the latest one.
The SZ2 is a beast, I had a issue with a venue that had a small DJ booth, but if you have plenty of room this controller is ideal. There are plenty of reviews on the SZ2 but I wanted to tell you things that I like about it.
- The cross-fader pitch control is located on the front of the unit, you don’t need to go into the software to adjust it.
- The board is lit very well and everything is relatively easy to find in low light conditions. I have not found a good light source to clip to the coffin and the light has a fader switch. If someone knows of one feel free to send a link.
- I think the cueing system is very flexible to adjust sound levels when needed to get a clean mix in less than ideal situations.
